Šajā versijā ir izlabotas 66 darbības, viena zemas bīstamības drošības un viena vidējas bīstamības drošības kļūda. Kopš iepriekšējās Joomla 1.5.9 versijas, kas iznāca 2009. gada 10 janvārī ir pagājušas 11 nedēļas.
